This outstanding Caturra micro-lot from Maria Esmilda Espinoza is produced in a very small farm in Sport Piura, district of Huabal, Peru at 1830 meters above sea level, where Maria work with the help of her 3 sons.
We have never carried a Peruvian coffee before, but we love to try new beans and this was a big hit. As soon as we tasted it, we were so much impressed!
It is Incredibly floral, intense and mouth wateringly juicy! Great clarity. Very gentle acidity forming the backbone of the cup with sweet stonefruit, florals and yellow fruit layers underneath. Tealike. Incredibly well balanced with great sweetness. Jasmin, mango and specially peach.
A coffee very well suited for delicate filter preparation (V60, Chemex, french press and AeroPress), but it was also amazing prepared in makineta and espresso if you enjoy a well structered acidity.
